Rocky

ROCKY

Dear Lori,
Rocky turns "1" this Saturday - we did his birthday a couple days early because we are going out of town for the weekend. He is a wonderful dog! Thanks again! Hope all is well in the Boston World!

Hank

HANK

Hi Lori,
Hank continues to be a very loving guy. I have never been around a dog that wants to kiss as much as he does. The attachment is a pic I took of him yesterday. He will surely be a big guy . At 4 months old he is only 3 lbs lighter than our other Boston . . . and she is almost 2 years old.

Kava

KAVA

Dear Lori,
I hope all is well with you. I'm writing just to send a photo of the little guy we got from your 9/14/04 litter. His name is Kava and he's a handsome little fellow. While he certainly takes after his mother Birdie in his fondness for chasing birds (well really just pigeons in NYC), I think he's even more obsessed with his love of tennis balls and a good game of fetch.

All the best,
Kiersten M.
Skylar and his girl

SKYLAR

Hi Lori-
I thought you might like to see a photo of Skylar. I think it was almost exactly 2 years ago we started trying to fly her up here from your neck of the woods. She is such a great part of the family, all our neighbors comment on how outgoing she is now. She is such a mama's girl! She likes the people she knows, and could care less about strangers. She loves when my daughter comes home from school, and lets her cuddle all the time. Thanks again for sending us such a wonderful friend.

Hope all is well with you.

Bella & Bugsy
Bella and her boy Jackson

BELLA and BUGSY

Hi Lori,
We hope this note finds all well with you. Things here are well, Jackson is getting big. He has grown very close with Bugsy. They are definitely buddies.

Bella is good with him, but tends to kiss a little too much! Bella is going to be 3 years old on Christmas Eve and it seems like just yesterday we were traveling to your place in New York excited to meet her and then finally to bring her home.

Everyone told us that the dogs would take a back seat to the baby, but I'm happy to tell you "they" were VERY wrong. The pups are even more spoiled since I am not working and they are a great distraction for Jackson. No matter how sad he can be, the pups can always be used as a bright spot to make him forget his woes and get a smile. We thought we'd send a few photos.

Best Wishes,
Mary, Scott, Jackson, Bella & Bugsy
Waylon

WAYLON

I just want you to know that my husband and I are crazy about Waylon.

He is just a wonderful dog, and we're both so thankful every day that we have him.

People at shows always ask where I got Waylon, and I tell them how lucky I was to have found you, and to have gotten such a great dog.

Harry and his girl Isabella
Harry sleeps with his girls
HARRY (a note from Lori), 2006

This is Harry, a 10 month old Boston I bred and placed with my good friend Vicki Bernard.

About 1:30 A.M. Harry (who had been sleeping with Vicki's daughters) began jumping and barking frantically at the side of Vicki's bed. Since this was very unusual behavior for Harry, Vicki got up to see what was wrong. Vicki's youngest daughter Isabella, was having a severe asthma attack and could barely breathe. She was rushed to the emergency room and treated immediately.

Harry has resumed his role as "the playful pup" and has no idea that he is a hero and may quite possibly have saved Isabella's life. Way to go Harry!!!!!

Regarding Harry
There are not enough words in this world to describe how I feel about Harry.

When I came to your home last spring for a visit, I knew you had puppies for sale but I had no intention or thought of owning one.
What I didn't know was that one of those puppies would own me! When I looked into the puppy play pen and saw all those adorable black and white balls of love bouncing around wanting to be picked up, the only one who caught my eye was the fat little one who looked like an overgrown gerbil. I picked him up and he looked me right in the eye and said "Hi Mom! It's me...Harry!"

I've loved that name for ages, had two girls whom if they were born boys would've worn that name and though I always knew that a Harry would be in my life, I just didn't know he would be a Boston Terrier!

Harry is not a pet. He's just the only member of our family who happens to have four legs and eats from a bowl on the floor. Though if my girls had a say in the matter, they'd eat from bowls on the floor too!

Lori, you don't just breed show quality Bostons, you breed the classiest most excellent and refined dogs in the world. The way you socialize them in your home and expose them to who you are as a person truly imprints them for the rest of their lives. And they have your sense of humor as well, (for if anyone knows you at all, they know about your sense of humor).

I thank you all the way to the moon and back again for making Harry Bernard.
With Love,

Vicki Bernard

Henry

HENRY

I just love this little guy. He actually sleeps in bed with us, and has for a couple of months. I try to take him with us whenever we can, including lots of walks on the hiking trails around here. His personality is absolutely perfect.

Henry just loves jumping in the clothes basket for socks, but is very good natured about giving stuff back. He can jump like a deer. He is very good about grooming and being handled. I can't imagine not having him around, and can't wait to get home to play with him in the evening. Charlotte told me the other night she suspects I like Henry better than anyone outside our house. I suspect she is right.

Page and her boy

PAGE

Hi Lori,
Just wanted to let you know that Page is doing great. We love her so much! She is the sweetest dog ever! I can't thank you enough.

Page has a very strong mothering instinct. She and my son have bonded. She follows him everywhere and sleeps with him at night. They are inseparable. It is very sweet.

I think she misses your horses. We have a stable near our house and every time we ride by, she perks up and looks out the window at the horses.

Again, thank you so much.

Riley

RILEY

Hi Lori,
About three years ago I purchased a male puppy from you, Riley. Your friend Gail actually drove him back from SC and offered to take him if I had any doubts. Thankfully I did not as I can definitely say he is the best dog I have ever had.

He is the sweetest, happiest, most wiggly guy who has yet to meet someone he didn't consider a great friend. I have attached some pictures of him so you can see how he has grown.

Right now Riley lives with a 14 year old chocolate lab, Mocha. They are great companions & love to go hiking together, but as you can imagine she has slowed down a bit.

As such, I was thinking of getting Riley another playmate in the spring. Do you have any planned litters then? I would be looking for another male. Thanks so much!

Nate

NATE & RUBY

Hi Lori,
I purchased a puppy from you last year and just wanted to send you an update. I named my little boy Nate and he is one fantastic boy. I don't know if you remember me, but I'm the lady from Georgia that had two female Bostons and just had to have another one. I lost one of my girls a couple of months ago to an unknown ailment that was related to a liver problem. She was only four years old and it broke my heart. But Nate and my Lucy have helped pull me through the pain of losing my beloved Layla. I may be interested in another puppy in the near future.

Hope to talk with you soon.
Julie P.

11/2007 - Hey Lori,
Thank you so much for the photos. Ruby is so cute. She is fitting in perfectly here at home. I tried to take some photos yesterday, but all I got was a blur. She's a mover...LOL. As soon as she will be still I'll send you some photos of Ruby and Nate.

Thank you again for allowing me to own this sweet girl. She is everything I wanted and more.

Hugs,
Julie P.

Libbey

LIBBEY

Lori,
Hi from Linda in Suffolk VA! We love Libbey to pieces!!! She's a constant source of joy and reality...She loves to ride behind me on the Harley!!! More photos later about this adventure...She has her own secure cage, goggles and Harley jean jacket. She is graduating from Obedience training at Pet Smart this Thursday...SHE IS SO SMART!!!!! The others in her class, well, let's just say that she is the Valedictorian!! We love her. Period. She can do no wrong.

Thanks,
Linda L

P.S: Hi Lori! I had a great birthday with my family! But the champagne was for Linda and Dale. Thank you for my birthday!

Jack and his mastiff

JACK

Hi Lori,
We did take Jack in for his 8 week shots. His is just so cute! He thinks he's the boss of the house already and puts my mastiff in her place. I will send more photos.

Thanks!
Carrie
Ella

ELLA

Lori,
Happy New Year! Attached is a picture of Ella and my parent's golden retriever, Papa, guarding the house from the top of the kitchen stairs. Ella has been the light of our lives since she joined us last spring in Chicago and never ceases to charm even the most dog-adverse people. She spends lots of time galavanting around parks with dogs at least five times her size and has NO fear and endless energy. She is also possibly the most cuddly, loving creature out there, whether four paws or two legs.

Thank you for helping us bring her into our lives. We will be looking to adopt a little sister for Ella and would love to find her sibling through you. I hope you had a wonderful year.

All the best,
Bethany

BELLA S.

Lori,
My husband and I adopted a Boston from you about 5 years about. Her name is Bella and she is wonderful! We have a 2 year old son and another baby on the way. She is great with Alex and such a snuggly dog. This is my first experience owning a dog and we sure did choose the right breed.

SOX
Dear Lori,
Sorry it has taken us so long to send you pictures! Sox is doing great! He is extremely spoiled! Potty training is going very well...he caught on quick. He is very smart. He sits, shakes paws, and lays down on command-with a treat reward of course! He gets a bath every other week. He has a favorite spot on the couch with a favorite blanket and he loves going to see the kids at the bus stop everyday! He is a great cuddler!

He also loves our Saturday trips to the big dog park! He is the most loved dog there...everyone says how gorgeous he is!! Our vet loves him! We could not be any happier, he has been the perfect addition to our family. Our girls are crazy about him! We will keep in touch. Thank you very much for such a wonderful dog!!

Love
Karen, Roland, Cassidy and Alyssa H.
Zena R.

ZENA

Hi Lori,
I purchased a Boston from you in Jan. 2001, her name is Zena. I was surfing through Boston sites and saw you web site. Congratulations on your marriage and new business!

Zena is a sweetheart. She has been a great dog, she’s now 6 years old and doing great. I just wanted to say hi and THANK YOU for being such a conscientious breeder for all these years.

Have a happy holiday.
Maria R.

JUNI

Hi Lori,
I just finished looking at your websites again for the fourth or fifth time. I enjoy looking at all the bostons you have or have had! I must tell you that Juni is the sweetest Boston we have ever owned! She truly thinks she is my daughter. She waits for me to see down and then is immediately on my lap! If I could find a baby carrier that would hold her next to me I think she would be happy to stay in it 24/7. Whatever you did truly made her a very special girl and we could not love her more. We hope to come see you and your new facility sometime in the near future.

Thanks!
Connie

Murphy

Hi Lori,
Just wanted to share with you the picture we are going to use for our Christmas cards...staring Dylan and Murphy! Notice the look of excitement on Murphy's face!

P.S. - He had is puppy check at the vet last Friday and has a clean bill of health (of coarse!)...she commented on how good his nostrils looked, she said they were nice and big so he wouldn't snore too loud, clearly she hasn't slept in the same room as him : )

Hope all is well.

Chips

Chips

Hi Lori,
Just checkin' in and letting you know that we are THOROUGHLY enjoying our little baby boy!!! We are so in love and can't believe how perfectly he has fit into our lives. He has such an adorable personality and makes us laugh all of the time.

We have already taken about a million pictures and I thought I'd send a couple to you now. He loves to nap with his Daddy (or anybody else for that matter as he LOVES to sleep!) and he is also fascinated by the computer. He loves to be in our laps while we're on the laptop and he just watches the screen, especially if we are scrolling up & down. Oh yeah, thank you so much for sending that information on Blake. I got it the very next day.

He has an appointment with the vet at 2 PM today. I'm sure that everyone there will be making a fuss over him. Both times that we have taken him to Petco someone takes him from us to love on him. He is so darn adorable!!! Oh and he LOVES all of his new toys. He's spoiled rotten already!!!

Thanks so much!!!
Haley S.

June 20th, 2008 - Hey Lori! I just wanted to give you an update on Chips. He's doing GREAT! He will be 17 weeks old tomorrow and is right at 10 pounds. He is SOLID MUSCLE! He loves EVERYBODY: dogs, cats, adults and children. His best friend is my parents puppy, Rowdy, who is a 6 month old long-haired miniature english cream dachshund. They have a BLAST together and wear each other out!

When I come home to my parents house in Macon on the weekends they play non-stop! My parents have a pool and playing in that has become Chips FAVORITE thing to do! Yesterday he discovered the float and then he kept getting on it all by himself and then he would lay down on it and take a nap! We don't let him on it though unless we are in there with him. He LOVES the water. He is such a fast swimmer and he knows exactly how to get out of the pool (Rowdy hasn't even figured that out completely - Chips is so smart!). He loves to lay on the top step (or on the built-in lounger that's on the side of the deep end) and just chill out and play with the water with his front paws. Sometimes he dunks his head under the water - I think to cool off the top of his head.

We love him so much and enjoy him so much too. Thanks so much for our baby! I have attached a few pictures of Chips at the pool (Click here to view them in the gallery)- so cute! Hope you enjoy!
Haley S.

August 31, 2008 - Hi Lori! My husband just texted me some pictures of Chips, and I just HAD to send them to you! We came down to Macon for the Labor Day holiday and my husband is down is visiting his family. Well he took Chips with him and they all went to a place called Lane Packing Company. It's a peach & pecan place - very country and laid back. They have ice cream, peach cobbler, and all kinds of goodies there. Well, they have play areas for children and, since he is our child, my husband has taken him all over the grounds there today. Here are some of the pictures he sent to me. We love him so much!!!

Spike

Spike

Spike

Hi Lori,
I just wanted to tell you how much we have enjoyed Spike these last nine months. He's a big hit with all of our kids, especially Aishlinn. His birthday was Friday, and we took him to PetSmart. He picked out a cute soft squeaky toy with a valentine heart on it. He loves throwing it in the air.

He's almost 19 pounds now and is more beautiful every day. Say hi to his mother (Ali) and father (Blake) for him.
